Minneapolis-based Pipeline Foods LLC, a U.S.-based supply chain solutions company focused exclusively on organic, non-GMO and regenerative food and feed, will acquire the ancient grains and specialty products business of Organic Ventures.

The sale adds ancient grains to Pipeline Foods’ offerings, further strengthening its organic corn product line. Board Chairman Eric Jackson cites the goal of dramatically increasing the supply of U.S.-grown organic and non-GMO grain, as well as adding capabilities and products to Pipeline Foods’ current portfolio.

The company will originate all grain and ingredients for the Organic Ventures lines as well as its subsidiary, Great River Organic Milling. Organic Ventures’ president Rick Halverson will serve as business unit manager for the Pipeline Foods commercial team.

Financial advisory firm Ascendant Partners says two complementary partners truly committed to the success of the organic industry are coming together with the sale.
