The Organic Trade Association and The Organic Center hosted “Organic Night Out,” an annual event recognizing leaders and organizations advancing the organic sector. The gathering comes as the industry continues to grow, with U.S. organic sales reaching $76.6 billion and maintaining a stronger growth rate than conventional food markets.
Speakers emphasized collaboration as a key driver of that growth. Tom Chatham, co-CEO of the Organic Trade Association, highlighted the organization’s “Seal Makes It Simple” campaign, supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which has generated more than 45 million consumer impressions to clarify the value of the organic label.
Awards presented during the event reflected progress across the supply chain. Trodden Organic was recognized for supplier leadership, PCC Community Markets was honored for retail impact and regional farmer support, and Amy’s Kitchen received Organic Company of the Year for its long term commitment to organic sourcing and production.
The event also celebrated the importance of partnerships across brands, retailers, and advocacy groups in sustaining industry momentum. Speakers noted that continued growth will depend on coordinated efforts in consumer education, supply chain development, and policy support.
Organizers and participants pointed to a shared goal of reaching $100 billion in organic sales by 2030, with ongoing collaboration seen as essential to scaling production and maintaining consumer trust.
