Rodale Institute will host a national advisor call on August 10th to discuss updates to its “Advancing Regional Organic Markets: A Farmer’s Toolkit,” a resource designed to help farmers, processors, and buyers identify market opportunities within regional organic supply chains.

Originally launched in late 2025, the toolkit provides market data, opportunity assessments, and regional analyses intended to support domestic organic production and reduce reliance on imports. According to Rodale Institute, the updated version includes expanded market insights and tools to help stakeholders evaluate demand for high value organic crops and strengthen connections across the supply chain.

The advisor call is part of a broader series of regional discussions scheduled throughout August and supported through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP). The initiative reflects growing industry attention on regional market development as organic demand continues to outpace growth in the broader food sector.

The toolkit highlights opportunities in organic grains, livestock, fiber crops, and value added products, sectors where domestic production has struggled to keep pace with demand. Industry groups have increasingly pointed to supply chain gaps, particularly in organic grain and feed markets, as a barrier to expanding U.S. organic acreage.

By providing region specific market information, organizers hope to help producers align production decisions with buyer demand while encouraging stronger relationships among farmers, handlers, processors, and retailers.

Join the free webinar at 1pm EDT on August 10th.
